Mezzanine

As we knew the apartment was going to be small, we deliberately chose one with a mezzanine — for the extra space. This extra room is specifically termed as a ‘habitable’ room.

On exploring the mezzanine we found that there was no light or electric point up there. Does it not go without saying that every habitable room should have a light and electric point ???– perhaps even moreso a small windowless room in the eaves which benefits very litte natural light?

An electric point was noted on the list of things to do – it was never done. 

Gaping holes had been left between the wall and the floor in the mezzanine and the wooden floor was badly sanded.
